The cannabis industry witnessed a significant legal battle as AVD and 37 other North American cannabis vaporizer companies faced unsubstantiated IP infringement claims from CCELL, a China-based company.
Brosgart explained, “China-based Shenzen Smoore Technology Limited (parent company of CCELL) made unsubstantiated IP infringement claims against 38 North American cannabis vaporizer companies, including AVD.”
“That attempt would have had far-reaching impacts on manufacturers and consumers. CCELL would have controlled the market, leaving customers at risk of higher prices and slower innovation cycles, resulting from decreased competition,” he continued.
With over 400 cannabis oil brands and processors trusting AVD, Brosgart attributed this high level of trust to their commitment to product innovation and safety. “AVD cartridges are designed to meet or exceed strict international safety standards,” he stated.

Cannabis Tech asked about AVD’s future strategies, and Brosgart detailed the company’s unwavering focus on innovation and customer feedback. “Our R&D process follows two distinct paths: invention, where we build from the ground up by leveraging ideation and intellectual property, and refinement.
